Remedial massage

Remedial massage is a technique used to treat muscles that are causing pain or tension.
It works by stimulating blood flow to the muscles and removing toxins from the muscle tissue.

Your remedial massage therapist may use massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, and stretching as just some of the techniques in your treatment.

Whether you suffer with muscle tension from sport, work, stress, poor posture, or recovering from an injury, remedial massage can help manage your pain and discomfort, and assist in the prevention of future injuries.

Remedial massage can be effective in treating the following conditions:

  • Low back pain

  • Headaches

  • Neck & shoulder tension

  • Rehabilitation of injuries

  • Sciatica

  • Arthritis

  • Tennis elbow

  • Bursitis

Benefits of remedial massage:

  • Improve posture

  • Increase flexibility

  • Reduce pain associated with musculoskeletal conditions (disc bulge, bursitis, nerve impingements)

  • Help prevent injury or re-injury

  • Promotes faster healing of soft tissue injuries

  • Relaxation

  • Feeling of wellbeing

Dry Needling

Is a soft tissue technique in which fine, sterile needles are inserted into specific points in the muscle to release tension and myofascial trigger points.

It can be used to release painfully tight muscles, and increase flexibility and range of motion. It is a modern, science-based intervention for the treatment of pain and dysfunction in musculoskeletal injuries, including the following conditions:

  • Neck and back pain

  • Tension headaches

  • Shoulder impingement

  • Tennis elbow

  • Shin splints

  • Tendonitis

  • Planterfasciitis

  • Sport injuries

  • Overuse injurie

Pregnancy Massage

Research shows that massage can reduce stress hormones in your body and relax and loosen your muscles. It can also increase blood flow, which is so important when you're pregnant, and keep your lymphatic system working at peak efficiency. And it reconnects your mind with your body, a connection that's comforting if you sometimes wonder if there’s a baby in there or if an alien has taken up residence inside of you. Wondering how you lay on the table when pregnant? There are two ways i can treat you, using special Belly pillows allowing you to lay down on your stomach or side lying

During pregnancy, regular prenatal massages may not only help you relax, but may also relieve:

  • Insomnia

  • Joint pain

  • Neck and back pain

  • Leg cramping

  • Sciatica

  • Swelling in your hands and feet (as long as the swelling isn't a result of preeclampsia)

  • Carpal tunnel pain

  • Headaches and sinus congestion
